Our Story

Fruity Bowls: Acai Superfood has served West and South-Central MN communities since May of 2025.​

Fruity Bowls' owner is 28 year old Mallory Arnold. Mallory grew up on a farm in Appleton, MN and graduated high school from Morris, MN in 2016. She earned a B.A. in Communication Studies with minors in Music and Economics from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2019. After college, she worked at Explore Alexandria Tourism until moving to Bemidji, MN in 2020 to work and earn her M.A. in Leadership and Innovation. 

 

While in Bemidji, she worked in Marketing and Community Engagement. These experiences allowed Mallory to discover that food culture has a unique ability to bring people together and strengthen community bonds. Due to this, Mallory took the leap and purchased a smoothie bowl food truck that became "Fruity Bowls!"

 

Mallory once said "Fruity Bowls will provide delicious, nutritious, and vibrant Acai Bowls made from premium ingredients as a healthy food option throughout local communities and foster community connections. Growing up in rural South West Minnesota, I know the limited offerings available for healthy food options as well as limited places to gather and connect. I saw the need for this product in our area, and I am proud to serve and celebrate the area I call home!" 

 

Fruity Bowls strives to inspire communities to make healthier choices and bring people together by serving a diverse range of customers, engaging with local partners, and promoting wellness through food initiatives, all while providing a delicious and fun food option!

Based out of Alexandria, you can expect to find Fruity Bowls in the towns of Morris, Glenwood, Starbuck, Wheaton, Benson, Fergus Falls, Granite Falls, Long Prairie, Osakis, Montevideo, Parkers Prairie, Bemidji, and more!
